about

Its a hot August summer day and the first leg of a two week Germany tour is over. Playing my first ever solo gigs makes me feel like a bloody beginner, especially among the talented and experienced guys touring with me.
But things take a turn for the better in an old shed in Leipzigs Weststadt, where two guys store and repair old 2-stroke bikes.
We met them by chance the night before, playing some songs on a bridge in central Leipzig and they offered to record us at the shed.
Thats how this EP came to be.

Track Name: Lack of Love
We are still the wild, we are still the lost
lack of love, oh lack of trust
seems nothing to help us, but our own hands
it seems nothing to help us, but our own heads
measure yourself at least once,
go find yourself at least once,
facing the blind death storm (orig. blind deaf stone) alone,
with nothing to help ya, but your own hands
with nothing to help ya, but your own head

And yet we know,
we gotta go, we gonna die, someday,
we gotta go, we gotta move on, till the day,
we gonna die, we gonna die

I know its hard to be left behind,
as it is so hard to leave it all behind,
I know its hard to be an honest man,
as it is so hard to be true to yourself again,
and our friend the death,
is sitting right behind us,
our friend the death is already waiting for us

And yet we know,
we gotta go, we gonna die, someday,
we gotta go, we gotta move on, till the day,
we gonna die, we gonna die
Track Name: The Silting Up of a Great Lake
Once a great lake,
it is about to dry up
droughts and glacier melt,
do run it hard
the banks are widening,
they wont ever burst
the fishes are struggling,
they are sensing the threat

Does it happen in reverse?
does it happen at all?
or do all things pass?
do they all pass away?

The slippery still wet silt,
turns into dust
same kind of wasteland,
the earth will be
the day the sun dies,
our home will freeze
and nothing will be left,
to be recognized

Just a few speak from the dead,
as long as they can
how many chances will be left?
Till our world goes down the drain
Track Name: State of Mind
I am far too slow,
for the modern times,
for the minor crimes,
how to get out of here?
will I ever know?

Am I far too low,
for the major lies,
to the highest prize,
how to get out of here?
will I ever know?

Just a state of my mind,
while our love becomes so cold
Just a state of my mind,
while we grow old,
while our love becomes so cool...
