With our song "Hold On" we invite you to come on a little musical journey with us.
It is a song about the dark and light moments of the past,
moments that can cast long shadows into the now.
Some painful, some blissful, imprinting traces in our minds.
"Hold On" reflects the process of letting go and what is left, when you lose someone, pondering about what love can demand of us.
How to move on from what seems to be holding us back, finding a way out of the dark, yet wondering what it is you can hold on to.
lyrics
Hold On
Still day and night
I lose my mind
'Bout the times we shared
Those moments of bliss
You shed a whole new light
First time, plain sight
Now there's nothing I can do
Being paralyzed by pain
Hold on, hear me
We'll never be apart
We'll never be apart
Many moons passed
Still it casts long shadows
Some hurt that goes too deep
It never really healed
Those blissful moments
are fading with time
But the memories we made
are imprinted in me
Hold on, You´ll be
Forever in my mind
Forever in my heart
We've been here before
I try moving on
But I cannot leave
this shadow behind
The bittersweet truth is
There's no turning the odds
The only way out
Is the way through

"The Trees like Torches" is the stage name of Singer-Songwriter Simon Hermann aka Simon Heribert. He used to be a traveling
musician touring overlands from Russia to China to South East Asia. But he recently went back to what people call 'normal life' and still struggles to get along with it.
He tries his best to keep releasing Songs and hopefully an album......more
